The festival kicks off Saturday with the Casting for Cancer bank fishing tournament and Backyard Hero BBQ cookoff. On Saturday evening, get ready to rock with Brown Sugar Band, Muzik, South TX Homies and the Spazmatics.

 

 

\\TRAVEL OPTIONS

Port Lavaca has several options for overnight accommodations. Whether you are looking for an RV community, a vacation property rental or a stay at one of our hospitable hotels, we have many choices for you to plan your weekend as you wish.

\\RESTROOM FACILITIES

We now have 2 restroom buildings on the Bay Front Peninsula. We will also have several port-o-potties available for our guests!

 

 

\\ATMS

Need cash? We've got you covered. The Flip Flop Festival will once again have ATMs for you to access your cash as you need it! We aim to make your visit convenient!

\\PARKING

We will have plenty of parking available on the peninsula. There are several parking areas around town.

 

\\CONTESTS

Who said life wasn't fun and games? We will have the Annual Fling Flong Contest and a hula hoop contest.

 

 

\\ENTRY & SECURITY

The Flip Flop Festival will have security provided by our Port Lavaca Police Department and Calhoun County Sheriff's Office all weekend long. We are thankful for our officers' service on Labor Day weekend and all year long!

 

 

\\ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

We will have ice cold beer and wine available at the Flip Flop Festival.  No outside food or drink will be permitted.

 

 

\\WEATHER

Labor Day Weekend is typically a sunny weekend for Port Lavaca, TX. Prepare accordingly.

 

 

\\THESE ITEMS ARE ALLOWED

Please bring sunscreen and dress comfortably! We will have lawn chair seating available, so bring out your chairs and relax the day away. Flip flops are welcome, but not required. (Though you will need them if you plan on participating in our Annual Fling Flong Contest!)

 

 

\\THESE ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED

Outside food and drink, Alcohol or ice chests of any type will not be allowed into the festival area. Our proceeds help benefit our community. Help support our event by leaving your drinks and ice chests at home!
